Crayfish can breathe again, thanks to CCC

Central Compressors has been called in to ensure a reliable, clean air supply to tanks of crayfish which are being kept at the University of Bristol as part of a conservation trial. We were called in after a disaster in the labs in which hundreds of crayfish died because an old compressor failed, discharging leaked oil into the air feed and polluting the tanks.

CCC approved by national Firebuy network

Central Compressors has been approved by Firebuy, the national fire & rescue service procurement scheme, for the supply of compressors. The company is one of only three suppliers approved under the Firebuy scheme to supply breathing-air compressors and after-sales support.

Putting the finishing touches to one of the systems for Devonport Dockyard

Central Compressors supply air systems for nuclear submarine refits at Devonport Dockyard

Central Compressors has won a six-figure order to supply two specialised systems to Devonport Dockyard.  The compressors have been specially designed to supply breathing air for undersea applications.  At Devonport, they are to be used to supply air to the Royal Navy’s nuclear submarines when they dock for refits.
